Who we are
To achieve adequate dust prevention, control and suppression for ROM Bins, Spraying Systems Co. have developed effective, proven solutions.
What we do
Our AutoJet control systems provide the most efficient solution to internal chute cleaning, reducing overall down-time whilst maintaining high cleaning standards.
Why we do it
Spraying Systems Co. and Vital Chemical Pty Ltd have undertaken a joint venture to develop a quality chemical delivery system that is able to suppress dust emitted from rail car coal surfaces.

Spraying Systems Co. has decades of experience in managing dust control in the mining industry. Primarily dust control is through the use of spray nozzles and some of the most typical spray nozzles used include the following examples.
WhirlJet® nozzles are most widely used for dust suppression in locations such as transfer points, loading terminals and wherever airborne dust is widely dispersed. These nozzles develop a hollow cone spray pattern of small droplets which trap the airborne dust inside the cone and force it back to the surface. As well, whirljet nozzles have large orifices which reduce the chance of nozzle clogging when spraying dirty water.
Veejet® spray nozzles produce a tapered edge flat spray pattern of small to medium size droplets. Veejets are widely used for dust prevention such as on conveyors and in narrow or rectangular enclosed spaces. Because a wide range of spray angles are available with veejets, they can cover large surface areas and so are often used on stockpile dust prevention.
FullJet® nozzles produce a round full cone spray pattern of medium to large size drops. Typically used for dust suppression on stackers, reclaimers and transfer points.
FogJet nozzles develop small droplets and are ideal for use in airborne dust suppression. They produce a fine mist or fog over a large surface area. Whilst these nozzles are generally operated with clean water, they can be used with poor quality water provided an appropriate liquid strainer is placed upstream of the nozzle.
Air-Atomizing Spray Nozzles produce very small droplets making them ideal for use in airborne dust suppression applications as often found in jaw crushers, loading terminals, transfer points and primary dump hoppers. They can also be used with surfactants for greater wetting and reduced water consumption.
Aside from nozzles, Spraying Systems Co offers its customers benefits which include:
